What is "avihepadnavirus"

n. (context biology English) Any of the genus (taxlink Avihepadnavirus genus noshow=1); an avian hepadnavirus.

Avihepadnavirus is a genus of viruses, in the family Hepadnaviridae. Birds serve as natural hosts. There are currently only two species in this genus including the type species Duck hepatitis B virus. Diseases associated with this genus include: hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinomas (chronic infections), cirrhosis.
