Acrolepis
Acrolepis ( Ancient Greek for "Tip Scale") is an extinct genus of prehistoric bony fish that lived from the Tournaisian stage of the Mississippian epoch to the Late Permian. It is a large piscivorous predatory fish in the acrolepid family, which occupy an apex predator niche in its locale. Measured from the fossil specimen discovered in Germany, the species was estimated to have grown up to in length, making it one of the largest predatory fish of the Tournaisian and Permian.
