Zoompass

Zoompass is a mobile payment service allowing users to send, request and receive money via their mobile phones. Zoompass is operated by EnStream, a joint venture the Canadian three carriers first established in 2005, when it was called Wireless Payment Services, to investigate the potential of mobile commerce.

Zoompass is available for mobile phone users with Bell Mobility, Solo Mobile, PC Mobile, Rogers Communications, Fido or TELUS. New users register online and then can download the Zoompass software onto their phone or access their Zoompass account via the mobile site. The service allows users to link their bank account and credit card, and send money to other individuals. Recipients have instant access to the money, and can move funds to or from their own bank account. An accompanying Zoompass Prepaid Visa card that is linked to the Zoompass account balance which is instantly updated upon use. Zoompass works on most mobile phone models, including some lower-end phones.
