Zatanna Zatara or simply Zatanna is a fictional character, a comic book superheroine in the DC Comics universe. The character is both a stage magician and a real magician like her father Giovanni "John" Zatara. She is known for her involvement with the Justice League, her retconned childhood association with Batman, and her crossing of the Vertigo line with characters such as romantic partner John Constantine and protégé Timothy Hunter. She was ranked fourth in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list.
"Zatanna" is the 54th episode from Batman: The Animated Series. It first aired on February 2, 1993, and was written by Paul Dini and directed by Dan Riba and Dick Sebast. The episode features the first appearance of regular DC Comics character Zatanna in the DC Animated Universe.
Zatanna is a limited series of comics, featuring the character Zatanna, that was created in the 2010 by the American screenwriter Paul Dini working with the French artist Stephane Roux. DC Comics launched the series in May 2010, releasing 16 comics until the last in August 2011.
