Youtokugakusha

Youtoku (養徳; ようとく lit. cultivate virtue) Gakusha (学舎; がくしゃ lit. dormitory) is a student dormitory located in Tokyo, owned by Nara Prefectural Scholarship Foundation. It was first initiated in 1902 at Minobu House in Ueno, Tokyo by supporters from Nara Prefecture. After one and a half decades, through the efforts of those predecessors, in 1917 the first building was founded at Bunkyō, Tokyo. A total of 1,400 students have graduated so far.
