Yours Truly is the debut album by rock group Sublime with Rome, which was released on July 12, 2011. It is the first album since the original Sublime disbanded in 1996, due to lead singer and guitarist Bradley Nowell's death. According to the liner notes, the album is dedicated to him. After the break up, its surviving members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh reformed Sublime in 2009 almost by accident, with Rome Ramirez filling in for Nowell. However, the group were unable to use the name Sublime for legal reasons, which resulted in the birth of Sublime with Rome. After embarking on their first US tour in 2010, Sublime with Rome signed with the record label Fueled by Ramen and went to work on its first full-length studio album. Guitarist Paul Leary of Butthole Surfers, who co-produced Sublime's eponymous final album, produced it.
Yours Truly received mixed reviews. " Panic" was released as the album's first single and it was successful, reaching No. 4 on Billboard's Alternative Songs and cracking the top 10 on the Rock Songs chart. "Lovers Rock" and "Take It or Leave It" were also released as singles.
As of December 2011, Yours Truly is the only Sublime with Rome album recorded with co-founder Bud Gaugh, who has since left the band.
Yours Truly is the 12th studio album from jazz trumpeter Rick Braun. It was released in 2005 on ARTizen Music, the label he co-founded with Richard Elliot (with whom Braun would also collaborate the following year).
The nine-track disc contains no original material. Instead, Braun has chosen to cover hit pop songs by bands as diverse as Sade, Simply Red and Earth, Wind & Fire. He also covers songs by John Mayer, Lisa Stansfield & Lou Reed.
Allmusic's Paula Edelstein gave the release a rating of four stars (of a possible five), stating, "this is classic Rick Braun in a mellow, melodic mood, transporting listeners with the rich tones of his muted trumpet voice through the musical landscape of his life."
Yours Truly is the debut studio album by American singer Ariana Grande. It was released on August 30, 2013, by Republic Records. Incorporating R&B, Yours Truly was influenced by Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey, amongst other of Grande's greatest idols. Grande describes the album's first half as a "throwback" to the R&B music of the 1990s, and the second half being "very unique and very special that I've sort of written" which is completely original. On the album, Grande co-wrote six out of the twelve tracks. Contribution by Harmony Samuels, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Patrick "J. Que" Smith and Victorious co-star Leon Thomas III, as well as others, handling the production on the album. Grande recorded a number of songs on this album over a three-year period. The collaborations with Big Sean, Mika and Mac Miller, in addition to Mary J. Blige, who is featured on the song "Lovin' It" (which sampled her song " Real Love"), and The Wanted's Nathan Sykes, who features on the song " Almost is Never Enough" which was also included on the The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack. Occasionally, the album dips into other genres such as adult contemporary music and dance music.
Yours Truly was promoted with live renditions of the album's songs during The Listening Sessions Tour. The album was preceded by the release of the lead single, "The Way", featuring American rapper Mac Miller. It became a top-ten hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number nine. The second single, " Baby I", was released a month before the album and peaked just outside the top-twenty of the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number twenty-one.
