Young Women's Christian Association \Young Women's Christian Association\ An organization for promoting the spiritual, intellectual, social, and economic welfare of young women, originating in 1855 with Lady Kinnaird's home for young women, and Miss Emma Robert's prayer union for young women,in England, which were combined in the year 1884 as a national association. Now nearly all the civilized countries, and esp. the United States, have local, national, and international organizations. Young Women's Christian Association, also known as the Elkhart Y.W.C.A. and Lexington House, is a historic YWCA located at Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. It was built in 1919, and is a three-story, brick building on a raised basement and Bungalow / American Craftsman style design elements. It measures approximately 40 feet wide and 150 feet deep. It has a flat roof and arched openings on the first floor.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It is located in the Elkhart Downtown Commercial Historic District.

The Young Women's Christian Association is a historic YWCA building in Pueblo, Colorado.
Young Women's Christian Association is a historic YWCA building in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1913-1914, and is a three-story, five bay, brick and stone Renaissance Revival style building. The two-story rear block contains the gymnasium. The building features an elaborately designed entry portico with a curved exterior staircase.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
