Yaéré

The Yaéré, a name designated from the local language, is a vast annually flooded flat savanna grassland plain, part of the extensive floodplains around the shallow and variable Lake Chad in Central Africa.

When not inundated by floods the Yaéré is an ecoregion of the Tropical and subtropical grasslands, savannas, and shrublands Biome, and when flooded it is an African freshwater ecoregion in the Flooded grasslands and savannas Biome.
