WTBC
WTBC (1230 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic country format. Licensed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA, the station serves the greater Tuscaloosa area. The station is owned by Townsquare media and features programming from Westwood One. It was also the first media position that James Spann ever had in the media.
In May 2016 it was announced that Townsquare Media would be buying the AM (WTBC) and FM (WNPT) stations for $550,000. (Alabama Broadcast Media Page) According to published reports, WNPT FM will go sports and WTBC AM/FM will retain the Catfish Country format, once the new owners take over.
As of this update, Catfish Country is now being heard exclusively on this combo.
