What is "wrexham"

Wrexham ( ; ; ) is a town in north Wales, between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley alongside the border with England. In Wrexham County Borough, it is the largest town in north Wales and an administrative, commercial, retail and educational centre.

At the 2011 Census, Wrexham had a population of 61,603, the fourth largest urban area in Wales.

Wrexham ( Welsh: Wrecsam) is a parliamentary constituency in Wales which is represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first-past-the-post system of election.

The Wrexham Welsh Assembly constituency was created with the same boundaries in 1999.

Wrexham is a constituency of the National Assembly for Wales. It elects one Assembly Member by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.
