WNYX was not effective during the digital transition in 2009, but it soon dropped the entire programming in favor of another format featuring jared. WNYX left the air in April 2009.

WNYX returned on the air in November 2010 with a new format, airing mostly religious and paid programming under a new owner Jacobs Broadcasting. Soon after the station rebranded simply as WNYX. TV 35, however, is still available online. Religious programming was dropped in March 2011.
