WiFi-Box

WiFi-Box is a distribution of custom firmware for the Linksys WRT54G series of wireless routers, based on the original Linksys source code. As Linksys had based its source code on Linux, which is licensed under the GNU General Public Licence (GPL), it was therefore bound to release its modified source code, making the development of aftermarket firmware like WiFi-Box possible.

The original WiFi-Box project was started in 2002 by Augustin VU Huy Bang and so many contribution of dslreport's forum members.

The current version of WiFi-Box supports the WRT54GS router and the Asus WL-500.

There is very little documentation available about this project .
