' 360 Waves' (often shortened to waves) is a hairstyle, generally worn by men and it consist in laying down curls. The hair is cropped short to the head in the styling of a Caesar cut. Afterwards, brushing techniques are applied to produce an effect reminiscent of "oceanic waves".
Frequent and repeated brushing (along with adequate moisturizing) is the only way to maintain the style.
When you get the brush, brush the top of your head, then brush straight down brush your sides diagonal, and the back straight down. Then, you should put on your do rag. You repeat this process. While getting waves, you need to wolf or grow your hair out for 4 to 10 weeks before cutting again.
Waves may be maintained by daily brushing, application of pomades, weekly washing and conditioning, and wearing a do-rag. The waves become more pronounced with more intensive brushing.

The fest, very much in the spirits of Goa, holds a spectacular bonanza with a marvellous blend of fun and frolic, devotion, dedication and lots of happiness. The special events that Waves, BITS Goa offers include Natyanjali, Fashion Parade and Mr. and Ms. Waves. Sea Rock, their semi-professional rock band competition has gone on to become a national event with several elimination rounds held in major cities across the country. The Pro nights are a major attraction, with every night in the three night festival dedicated to a different genre. The workshops organized are very interesting and include classes on mock tail making, siporex art, graffiti making, hip-hop dancing and other such creative arts. Waves celebrates talent, creativity and the spirit to party. This fest is a meeting of all the talent in the country which comes together not only to compete but also to lose itself in the atmosphere of the fest. This is a festival to be witnessed, not told about. The 2015 edition of the festival, with the tagline "Escape Reality" received a footfall of more than 35,000 students from 150 colleges all over the country. Waves, BITS Goa has grown really fast since it's inception and has become one of India's leading college fests in less than a decade.
Waves was a New Zealand folk rock band that recorded a top-selling self-titled album in 1975 before disbanding in 1977. Its lineup emerged from an acoustic trio, Rosewood, which originally included Geoff Chunn, who later joined Split Enz. Despite making only sporadic live appearances—one of which was a double billing shared with Split Enz—their singles gained major airplay on Auckland radio and the Waves album reached No.7 on the New Zealand album charts, later becoming a sought-after collector's item.
In 1976 the band recorded a second album that was rejected by their record company, which later erased the tapes. Dejected, the band split up in September 1977. A surviving rough mix of the second album was released in 2013 as Misfit, a bonus disc with the first official CD release of Waves.
A co-founder of the band, Graeme Gash, released a solo album, After the Carnival, in 1981.
Waves reformed in 2013 for a record store performance in Auckland and announced they were writing songs for a further album.
