Waskada

Waskada is a former village in the southwestern corner of the Canadian province of Manitoba, close to the United States and Saskatchewan borders. Settled as early as 1883 and incorporated as a village in 1948, it has since been amalgamated into the Municipality of Brenda – Waskada. Waskada has a population of 183, and covers a land area of 0.77 km. Though traditionally a farming village, a recent oil boom has also brought economic activity to the area.
