What is "vysokaye"

Vysokaye (; , Vysoke; ; ) is a town in Brest Voblast, Belarus. Few kilometers to the South-West from Vysokaye town on the Bug River the western extreme point of Belarus is situated.

It is at an altitude of 524 feet. The approximate population for a 7 kilometer area from this point is 2300 people. There is a conflicting report that in 1991 the population was 5000 people. This city has a railway station on the Brest line.

Vysokaye means "high" (same as ), as in Wysokie Litewskie ( Lithuanian Heights).
