Volary (; ) is a town in South Bohemian Region, Czech Republic. It is located at around , in the Šumava Mountains, close to the border with Germany. In 1946, following World War II and occupation by Nazi Germany, the German population of The Czech Republic was deported on the grounds of the Beneš decrees.
