What is "visonic"

The Visonic Group is a developer and manufacturer of home security alarm systems and components, personal emergency response systems and real-time location and access control systems.

The Visonic Group (TASE:VSC.TA) was established in 1973 by Moshe and Yaacov Kotlicki.

Visonic's offerings include a variety of home security systems, personal emergency response and safety systems, and a variety of peripherals. Visonic is headquartered in Israel, where it operates a development center and manufacturing plant. Its sales and marketing subsidiaries in the USA, Germany, UK, Poland, Spain and Hong Kong are supplemented by a worldwide network of distributors, serving a growing installed base that spans around 100 countries.

In Dec. 2011, Tyco International completes acquisition of Visonic Ltd. and Visonic Technologies.
