Vîrnav

Vîrnav is the name of an old Romanian aristocratic family. Its first notable member, Petrache Vîrnav, established himself in modern-day northern Moldavia in 1802. His descendent Nicu Vîrnav donated one of his properties to the town of Botoşani and founded a recreation park there, where Romania's national poet Mihai Eminescu spent much of his creative time while in his native city.
