Vespiary \Ves"pi*a*ry\, n. [L. vespa a wasp.] A nest, or habitation, of insects of the wasp kind.

"wasp's nest," 1816, from Latin vespa "wasp" (see wasp) on model of apiary. A proper formation would be *vespary.
