Veronica Alexandra Tecaru (born January 14, 1984), known by her stage name Veronika, is an Afro- Romanian singer. Born in Galați, Romania, Tecaru turned to singing after giving up a career as a basketball player. She began her music career in country's capital, Bucharest, as a member of Wassabi in 2006. Following the disbandment of Wassabi in 2009, Tecaru decided that she wanted to pursue a solo career. She then adopted her current stage name. Associated acts until now: Brad Vee Johnson (national tour) and Julian M (2011-2012). According to her Facebook, Veronika plans to release a new single in 2013.
Veronika (publicly capitalized as VERONIKA) is a singer and songwriter. She began her music career in 2012 and her single Ain’t Russian Doll received regular airplay throughout the United States including reaching No.1 on YouTube charts after receiving more than two million hits in less than one month. The video also received airplay on MTV.com.
