Ventricose \Ven"tri*cose`\, Ventricous \Ven"tri*cous\, a. [NL. ventricosus, fr. L. venter belly.] (Nat. Hist.) Swelling out on one side or unequally; bellied; ventricular; as, a ventricose corolla. Ventricose shell. (Zo["o]l.)
