What is "trutv"

TruTV (stylized as truTV) is an American cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner.

The network was originally founded as Court TV, a network that focused on crime-themed programs, such as documentary series, legal dramas, and coverage of prominent criminal cases. With its 2008 re-launch as TruTV, the network revamped its lineup with a focus on reality shows and "caught on camera" programs, which the network marketed as "actuality" television. In October 2014, TruTV's lineup was re-oriented with a focus on comedy-based reality programs.

As of February 2015, approximately 89.7 million American households (77% of households with television) receive truTV.

TruTV is a cable television channel and is an edition of the Turner Broadcasting System-owned TruTV broadcasting to Latin America. It is owned by Turner Broadcasting System Latin America and Time Warner, along with other channels like I.Sat, Space and TNT, between others. The channel airs "caught on video" reality programs, or as truTV calls it, "actuality" television. The channel was launched on April 1, 2009 replacing the channel Retro. It's divided in two feeds, one in Spanish language and another one in Portuguese language, for Brazil. In July, 2010 a High Definition version of the channel was launched, called "truTV HD".

Currently the channel has 2 feeds, one for Brazil and another for the rest of Latin America.

TruTV Asia is a cable television channel and is an edition of the Turner Broadcasting System-owned TruTV broadcasting to Asia. It is owned by Turner Broadcasting System Asia and Time Warner. The channel airs "caught on video" reality programs, Adult Swim programs or as TruTV called it, "actuality" television.

The channel is also available in the United States as TruTV.

TruTV HD currently only available on First Media based in Indonesia since December 2014.

TruTV is a British television channel owned by Turner Broadcasting System Europe. The channel launched free-to-air on Freeview, Freesat and Sky platforms on 4 August 2014.
