Trinodal \Tri*nod"al\, a. [L. trinodis three-knotted; tri- (see Tri-) + nodus knot.]
(Bot.) Having three knots or nodes; having three points from which a leaf may shoot; as, a trinodal stem.
(Geom.) Having three nodal points.
