Tributyl phosphate, known commonly as TBP, is an organophosphorus compound with the chemical formula (CHCHCHCHO)PO. This colourless, odorless liquid finds some applications as an extractant and a plasticizer. It is an ester of phosphoric acid with n-butanol.
