Toro-Ferrer

Toro-Ferrer is an architectural firm in Puerto Rico, which included partners Osvaldo Toro and Miquel Ferrer. The firm designed important Modern Movement buildings in Puerto Rico, including the Supreme Court Building in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Supreme Court Building is a concrete building designed by Puerto Rican firm Toro-Ferrer with design consultation by Charles H. Warner, Jr. and Harold Eliot Leeds. The building projects over a reflecting pool, helping it to blend with the park surroundings in Luis Munoz Rivera Park.

Other works include several Modern Movement style hotels:

  • the La Concha Hotel, built in 1958, and
  • the Puerto Rico-Sheraton Hotel, built in 1963, and
  • the Hilton CuraƧao, built in 1967.
