Time Flies (band)

Time Flies was an American straight edge hardcore punk band from Virginia in the late 1990s and the height of the youth crew revival (note that there was also a Finnish pop punk group called Time Flies in 1990 - 1997). They shared members with the band Count Me Out, also from Virginia. Originally on Teamwork Records, and Malfunction Records, they signed to Indecision Records in 1999 to release their first and only full-length, On Our Way which was recorded and produced by Brian McTernan at Salad Days. The band played a lot on the East Coast, and also did 2 West Coast tours as well. They toured with bands like Death By Stereo, Ten Yard Fight, Count Me Out, Faded Grey, Good Clean Fun, In My Eyes, Fastbreak, and many others. In 2000, they re-released Can't Change the Past, which now included both the Teamwork Records release of Can't Change the Past EP, and the Malfunction Records release on one CD as well as including some comp songs they had previously recorded. They were best known for songs like Play the Fool, Highfives & Stagedives, and Hollow Inside. The band broke up in 2002 ending on a positive note playing the 2002 Posi-Numbers Festival in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and final show in their home area of Richmond, VA. In 2004, PETA2 released a DVD called Highfives & Stagedives documenting underground bands that had chosen animal-friendly and/or cruelty-free lifestyles.

Time Flies (Vaya Con Dios album)

Time Flies is the third studio album by Vaya Con Dios, who were at this point mostly a one-woman band. Even more than the previous albums, this is a melancholic album and is more blues and soul oriented. The reason for the theme is because Vaya Con Dios was mainly the partnership of Dani Klein and Dirk Schoufs and in 1991 the pair fell out badly. On 24 May 1991 Schoufs, who was only 29, died of a cocktail of medication, drugs and alcohol.

The album did very well in Europe, reaching number one in Switzerland and getting platinum certification in four countries, eventually proving to be the most successful Vaya Con Dios album.
Time Flies was the first album from Vaya Con Dios which did not end with a song in French.

In 1993 Vaya Con Dios embarked on its first world tour.

Also included is an acoustic rendition of the title track to Cyrus's 1992 debut album Some Gave All.

The track "She Don't Love Me (She Don't Hate Me)" was later recorded by Trent Willmon on his 2004 self-titled debut album, and by Blake Shelton on his 2007 album Pure BS. Both of these versions were titled "She Don't Love Me".

The track "Stand Still" was used as the theme song for the TV show " DOC".

Time Flies (John Michael Montgomery album)

Time Flies is the tenth studio album from American country music singer John Michael Montgomery. It was released October 14, 2008 on his own label, Stringtown Records, as his first studio album since Letters from Home four years previous. Three singles have been released from it. The first two, "Mad Cowboy Disease" and "If You Ever Went Away", both failed to chart on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. "Forever", the third single, has become his first Top 40 country hit since " Letters from Home" in 2004, peaking at number 28.

Time Flies (song)

Time Flies is a single from Porcupine Tree's 2009 studio album The Incident. Written by bandleader Steven Wilson, "Time Flies" is the centrepiece of the 55 minute movement that comprises the first disc of the album. The track deals with the passage of time and the phenomenon that as one gets older, time seems to pass even more quickly, with the lyrics making reference to Wilson's life so far. The song was edited down from its album length of 11:40 for both the single and video releases. The music video was directed by longtime Porcupine Tree collaborator Lasse Hoile. Due to an error in the mixing stage, the promo CD single edit has a strange drum mix, making it different from the full-length album mix.
