Tiliaceous \Til`i*a"ceous\, a. [OE. tilia the linden tree.] (Bot.) Of, pertaining to, or resembling, a natural family of plants ( Tiliace[ae]) of which the linden ( Tilia) is the type. The family includes many plants which furnish a valuable fiber, as the jute.
