(Min.) Realgar; red sulphide of arsenic. [Archaic]
(Bot. Chem.) A white or yellow resin obtained from a Barbary tree ( Callitris quadrivalvis or Thuya articulata), and pulverized for pounce; -- probably so called from a resemblance to the mineral.
