Thenkalam
Thenkalam, officially called Tenkalam, is a village in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, India. It lies about from the city of Tirunelveli and about from Sankar Nagar, a suburb of Tirunelveli which lies on the way to Madurai on National Highway 7 India (old numbering|NH7). It is the headquarters of Thenkalam panchayat, which is the administrating body for some surrounding villages including Thenkalam Pudhur and Nanjankuklam.
The population of the village is over 10,000. Most people are farmers on their own land. There is frequent transport available to the city of Tirunelveli.
