Thalayolaparambu ( Malayalam: തലയോലപ്പറമ്പ് )is a village-town situated in the northern part of Kottayam district in Kerala, South India. Belonging to the Vaikom ( Malayalam: വൈക്കം ) legislative assembly and Kottayam (Malayalam: കോട്ടയം ) parliament constituency, it is one of the chief towns situated on the Ernakulam- Kottayam route.

Spanning over an area of 20.63 square kilometres with a population of approximately 22,000 people, this mini-town is home to some of the well-known personalities such as the former Chief minister of Travancore-Cochin A. J. John, Anaparambil, the late Malayalam novelist/writer Vaikom Muhammed Basheer, the former Chief Justice of India K. G. Balakrishnan, former MLA K R Narayanan and the Convenor of Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala Vaikom Viswan,Jaykar T S, Vaikom Shamsudeen (BSS & JMSWPCC) etc. Thalayolaparambu also hosts the major market established during the administration of Velu Thampi Dalawa, and is one of those few Keralite markets that still retains its old-world charm till date.
