Tavanur
Tavanur (Thavanur, Thavanoor, Tavanoor) is a small village on the southern bank of Bharathapuzha, the longest river of Kerala in the Malappuram District of Kerala state in India. Tavanur village lies 8 kilometres west of Kuttippuram Railway Station, 12 kilometres north of Ponnani and 40 kilometres south west to Malappuram. Dr K.T.Jaleel is the first and the present MLA representing this constituency. Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology campus is located in Tavanur village on the southern bank of Bharathapuzha.
