Tabbying

Tabby \Tab"by\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Tabbied; p. pr. & vb. n. Tabbying.] To water; to cause to look wavy, by the process of calendering; to calender; as, to tabby silk, mohair, ribbon, etc.
