Synovia \Syn*o"vi*a\, n. [NL., perhaps fr. Gr. sy`n with + L. ovum egg: cf. F. synovie.] (Anat.) A transparent, viscid, lubricating fluid which contains mucin and secreted by synovial membranes; synovial fluid.
