Synergist
Synergist \Syn"er*gist\, n. [Cf. F. synergiste.]
One who holds the doctrine of synergism.
(Med.) A remedy which has an action similar to that of another remedy, and hence increases the efficiency of that remedy when combined with it.
(Biochemistry) A chemical compound which exhibits a synergistic effect on some biochemical or physiological action, in combination with another compound. [A supertype of def. 2.]
