Sudhir (actor)

Shah Zaman Khan Afridi better known as Sudhir or Lala Sudhir (older brother in Pushto language) was a Pakistani film actor, director and producer. He is the only actor of early Pakistani cinema whose film career has been preserved. He is known as the first action hero of Pakistani cinema. His film roles symbolized valour and bravery. Like Sultan Rahi, he appeared in the highest grossing films of Pakistan.

Sudhir (musician)

Pandit Sudhir (born 17 February 1974) is an Indian sitar player of Hindustani classical music. He is known for the vocalistic phrasing of his raga improvisations. He has learnt sitar from the Imdadkhani Gharana, popularly known as the Etawah Gharana.

He is the son of Sampat Lal, a tabla player of Central India. His grandfather, Badri Prasad, was the court musician of the former principality of Raigarh state, situated in the modern state of Chhattisgarh.

Sudhir (Hindi actor)

Bhagwandas Mulchand Luthria aka Sudhir (1944 – 12 May 2014) was a Bollywood film actor. He was best known for his role in the film Satte Pe Satta with Amitabh Bachchan. He acted in over 200 films in a career spanning from 1962 to 2009. He was one of Bollywood’s best known baddies from the 1970s through to the 1990s.

He is best known as co-star to actor and villain Ranjeet in movie Dharmatma. The duo were famously known as rapist of Bollywood movies.

He would usually play the second-in-command sidekick to villains Ajit, Premnath and Pran or the torturous police inspector or a sleazy man. He was most known for his shrill voice, long moustache and sideburns. He starred in at least a dozen Amitabh Bachchan movies, such as Majboor (1974 film), Sharaabi, Satte Pe Satta and Shaan. His biggest claim to fame was probably in Feroz Khan's 1974 hit Khote Sikkay, as the handicapped thief in Dev Anand's Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971) and in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Baadshah (1999) to Humraaz (2002 film). His recent and last film appearances were in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007) and Victoria House (film)|Victoria House (2009). He was also filmmaker Milan Luthria's paternal uncle. He died on 12 May 2014 at the age of 70. He had long been suffering from a lung infection.
