Sturmer is a DC Comics character who is the pack leader of a band of fearsome War Dog company. He is Orion's "pet" war dog, who fights beside Orion. Orion seems to have a very deep bond with Sturmer, and Orion treats Sturmer with much respect. Sturmer was lost in the void when he sacrificed himself to push the monstrous " Wade Eiling" into the Ghost Zone. Superman attempts to save Sturmer, but Orion stops him, saying that Sturmer willingly gave his life for what he knew to be a good cause.
