What is "stratix"

Stratix is the flagship family of FPGA products developed by Altera. Other current product lines include Arria (mid-range) and Cyclone (low-cost).

Stratix FPGAs are typically programmed in hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog, using the Altera Quartus computer software.

Altera FPGAs have been used in automotive, optical imaging, memory, data processing and computing applications.
