Steganopodes

Steganopodes \Steg`a*nop"o*des\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ?, ?, web-footed; ? covered + ? foot.] (Zo["o]l.) A division of swimming birds in which all four toes are united by a broad web. It includes the pelicans, cormorants, gannets, and others.
