Stantonbury

Stantonbury is a district of Milton Keynes, ceremonial Buckinghamshire, England. It is at the northern edge of the city, between Great Linford and Wolverton. It is largely residential, but the greater proportion of the area is taken up by two secondary schools ( Stantonbury Campus and the Webber Independent School), a leisure centre with a 25m swimming pool, and an all-weather, competition standard, athletics track.

Stantonbury is one of the former villages of Buckinghamshire that were absorbed into the new city of Milton Keynes in the 1960s. The toponym is derived from an Old English term for "fortified building by a farm on stony ground".
