Spoutfish \Spout"fish`\ (-f[i^]sh`), n. (Zo["o]l.) A marine animal that spouts water; -- applied especially to certain bivalve mollusks, like the long clams ( Mya), which spout, or squirt out, water when retiring into their holes.
