Spirillum \Spi*ril"lum\, n. [NL., dim. of L. spira a coil.] (Biol.) A genus of common motile micro["o]rganisms ( Spirobacteria) having the form of spiral-shaped filaments. One species is said to be the cause of relapsing fever.
