Spiders is the debut album by Space, released on 16 September 1996. The album peaked at #5 on the UK Albums Chart in September 1996, and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry in December 1996. "Spiders" peaked at #133 in Australia, #45 in New Zealand in May 1997, and #35 in Finland. " Money", " Kill Me", " Neighbourhood", " Female of the Species", " Me and You Versus the World" and " Dark Clouds" (the first two combined together as a double A-side) were released as singles, though the former was re-recorded for the album. It sold an estimated 800,000 copies between 1996 and 1998.

"Spiders" is a song by American electronica musician Moby, released as the third single worldwide and second UK single from his 2005 studio album Hotel. It is released on May 30, 2005 through Mute Records in the UK.

"Spiders" is inspired by Moby's admiration for David Bowie. As such, it could be a reference to the Spiders from Mars, Bowie's touring band during the Ziggy Stardust era.

The two new tracks released as B-sides also appear on the single " Raining Again", which was released around the same time.

It appeared on the UK Singles Chart at number 50 for one week.

Spiders (British band)

Spiders is a three-piece indie band from Rotherham, England. Close school friends, the band came together through "lack of anything better to do and a similar taste in music." Main influences on the band are The Jam, Blur and The Libertines.

Composed of brothers Rob Tingle, Adam Tingle, and friend Nick Monk, the band were taught by Alex Turner's father a Rawmarsh Comprehensive School. Spiders was a result of numerous bands and projects, which formed in the Summer of 2010.

Since then the band have gigged almost constantly in and around Yorkshire. So far the band have recorded two EPs with Arctic Monkeys' producer, Alan Smyth; the first, Daring to Wish, Daring to Smile, Daring to Wonder, has received acclaim from regional press. In March 2011, the band formed Subtonic Records, and released their first promotional single "Where Does this Leave us Now", which has garnered 60,000 views on YouTube so far. Following up, and with further collaborations with filmmaker, Andy Little, the band has also released further promos: "Ambitions of a Huckster's Daughter", and "Subtle Differences".
