Specter candle

Specter \Spec"ter\, Spectre \Spec"tre\, n. [F. spectre, fr. L. spectrum an appearance, image, specter, fr. specere to look. See Spy, and cf. Spectrum.]

  1. Something preternaturally visible; an apparition; a ghost; a phantom.
