Sotherton

Sotherton is a dispersed village in Suffolk, England, located approximately south of Beccles and north east of Halesworth close to the A145. The mid-2005 population estimate for Sotherton parish was 70, measured at 193 in the 2011 Census. Uggeshall is located just to the north-east and Blythburgh to the south-east.

The parish church is dedicated to St Andrew and is located on a small dead-end lane signposted off the A145. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Sotherton Hall is an example of a Tudor timber frame farmhouse or Hall house set in a small park towards the North of the parish mentioned by Nikolaus Pevsner and the seat of John Hill (British Politician) & his heirs.
