Solidaridad

Solidaridad is a Dutch ecumenical development agency founded in 1969. Its main objective is the promotion of social justice and sustainable production of food and energy. To achieve these goals it supports local producer organizations, grassroot movements and NGO's.
- Fairtrade, for economic justice, with coffee, tropical fruits and cotton/textiles as sub-programs;
- Impunity Watch, for political justice, with a special focus on political-military atrocities in Guatemala, Peru, Colombia and Brazil and the need for justice; and
- Globalization from the Poor, for cultural and religious justice, with a specific focus on the experiences of indigenous and black communities and grassroot churches in South America.
