Snowden is an indie rock band fronted by musician and songwriter Jordan Jeffares. The name is inspired by Snowden, a fictional character from the novel Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.

Snowden EP was released in 2005. It is Snowden's first EP. It contains early versions of songs which would later be reworked and released on their debut album, Anti-Anti, such as Victim Card and Kill The Power as well as several exclusive songs.

"Snowden" is the second single from Doves' third album Some Cities. It was released in the UK on 9 May 2005 on limited edition CD, 2-track CD and 7" vinyl, and charted at #17 on the UK Singles Chart. The single version of the song was mixed by Rich Costey. Two music videos were produced for the song, directed by Dominic Leung. One features the album version of the song, and the other (also known as the "live edit") features the Rich Costey mix, with both videos featuring different footage.

The B-side "Son of a Builder" contains elements of "Beasley Street," written by Mancunian performance poet John Cooper Clarke.

Snowden is an upcoming American biographical political thriller film directed by Oliver Stone and written by Stone and Kieran Fitzgerald. The film is based on the books The Snowden Files by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena. The film stars an ensemble cast including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Scott Eastwood, Logan Marshall-Green, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Schnetzer, LaKeith Lee Stanfield, Rhys Ifans, and Nicolas Cage. Filming began on February 16, 2015 in Munich, Germany.

Snowden had a screening at Comic-Con on July 21, 2016 and is scheduled to be released in North America on September 16, 2016, by Open Road Films.
