Sintiru

Sintiru ( Quechua for peccary, Hispanicized spelling Sentilo) is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaylas Province, Santa Cruz District. Sintiru lies at the Punta UniĆ³n pass, the highest point of the Santa Cruz valley, south of the mountains Rinrihirka and Pukahirka, southwest of Tawllirahu, and northeast of the mountains Artisunrahu and Parya.

The little river Yuraqmayu which flows through the Santa Cruz gorge and leads to the Santa River originates near the Sintiru.
