Simpang
Simpang (, "new nation"), is a planning area located within the North Region of Singapore. The word Simpang means corner in Malay. It is situated northeast of Yishun. To the north of mainland Simpang is Pulau Seletar.
Simpang is currently a swamp area which is used by the Singapore Armed Forces as a training ground since the early 1996, after one plan of Simpang New Town was rejected. There are plans for it to be converted into a high-density housing estate.
