Wikipedia Silpholestes Silpholestes is an extinct genus of therocephalian therapsid from the Late Permian of South Africa. The type species Silpholestes jackae was named by South African paleontologist Robert Broom in 1948 from the Cistecephalus Assemblage Zone.
