Wikipedia
Siloxane

A siloxane is a functional group in organosilicon chemistry with the Si–O–Si linkage. The parent siloxanes include the oligomeric and polymeric hydrides with the formulae H(OSiH)OH and (OSiH). Siloxanes also include branched compounds, the defining feature of which is that each pair of silicon centres is separated by one oxygen atom. The siloxane functional group forms the backbone of silicones, the premier example of which is polydimethylsiloxane. The functional group (RO)Si is called siloxy.

Usage examples of "siloxane".

If you care for precise details, it was a diluted solution of polydimethyl siloxane that I made a few modifications to, a turbocharged version if you will.

Each passageway through which the winning ball must travel was given a small trace of the modified polydimethyl siloxane solution as well.

So long as the silicon remained bound as siloxanes, not much of a problem, health-wise.
